SUMMARY:South Osborne Farmers' Market
DESCRIPTION:Fireweed Food Co-op operates the South Osborne Farmers’ Market (est. 2016) which runs every Wednesday at 4-8 pm from mid-June to late September.  All our vendors are local and sell only Manitoba-grown\, spray-free food products\, and try to reduce packaging waste as much as possible.  Our market is also more than a place of commerce — it is a thriving community space featuring local beer and cider\, live music\, a kids craft tent\, and throughout the season playing host to various grassroots organizing initiatives and events related to local food and food issues.

SUMMARY:HCI Mobilizer Session: Bringing Evaluation Back to the Core of your Work
DESCRIPTION:This session asks: What does evaluation mean to your work? When framed narrowly\, questions around impact\, accountability\, measurement and evidence can feel abstract and disconnected to the actual work that we do\, and what is needed on the ground. How can evaluation provide an opportunity for organizations and communities to learn and advance in their mission? What types of knowledge and data can help us change our relationship with our funders? \nJoin in on Sept 20th\, 2022 at 1:00pm ET/10:00am PT as we take this opportunity to reflect on how evaluation can help advance the work of organizations and communities while contributing to changing power dynamics. This will be an opportunity for your organization to question established patterns and processes\,  see work in a new light\,  take credit for accomplishments\, and ask brave questions. \nThis session will be hosted by Yonatan Ghebray\, Senior Director of Evaluation\, Learning\, and Quality Improvement at the Network for the Advancement of Black Communities (NABC) and mentor of the Healthy Communities Initiative. Yonatan will be joined by a small group of HCI-funded projects who will share their own experiences. \nRegister here: https://us06web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_Th_aWp2_SoSSsYzkn7FFQw
