SUMMARY:Mobilizer Session: Public Art and its Potential - Reclaiming Underutilized Spaces for People
DESCRIPTION:From street murals to public performance to in-person and online art festivals\, arts-based placemaking has the power to cultivate a sense of belonging and connect people to community. It also has the potential to bridge gaps and break down barriers to creating safe\, accessible\, and people-welcoming environments. \nBuilding on the theme of reclaiming streets for people\, this session explores questions such as: How do we center community stories in the process of artistic interventions? How can arts-based placemaking transform neglected public places (such as laneways\, parking lots\, alleyways\, etc.) into thriving community spaces?  Who might be excluded from these spaces and how can public art initiatives better facilitate their inclusion? \nJoin us on March 16\, 2023 at 1:00pm ET/10:00am PT for Public Art and its Potential: Reclaiming Underutilized Spaces for People. This session will be hosted by Lanrick Bennett Jr. from the Laneway Project in collaboration with the HCI team. Together with Lanrick\, we will hear from practitioners across the country about their experience in facilitating arts-based initiatives – the benefits\, the challenges\, and the important takeaways. Bring your experiences and questions to join us in the discussion! \nRegister here!

SUMMARY:Apprentissage mutuel - De meilleures options de mobilité
DESCRIPTION:Une séance d’inter-apprentissage sera organisée le 22 mars 2023.
