DESCRIPTION:The Resilient Communities Fund supports community-based organizations that deliver programs and services in Ontario and need funding to recover and build capacity\, resilience and sustainability. \nEligible applicants can apply for a grant to develop and implement medium to long-term plans that address current organizational challenges they are facing to recover and build resilience. \nGrants support organizations as they: \n\ndevelop new approaches to generate revenue\nstart new activities to meet community need\nadjust strategies and plans\nplan for future challenges\n\nThe grant application will be available as of January 4\, 2023 through OTF’s granting portal. DESCRIPTION:TD Park People Grants help build vital connections between people and parks. \nApply for $2\,000 to support your vision for environmental education\, sustainability and stewardship programs that help connect people to their local parks and green spaces. \n\nWhat: TD Park People Grants support activities that promote environmental education\, sustainability and stewardship in Canada’s parks and green spaces.\nWhen: Applications are open from January 9 to February 20\, 2023. Grant recipients will be announced in March and activities will take place between April 15 and December 31\, 2023.\nWho: Community groups from Metro Vancouver\, Calgary\, Edmonton\, Winnipeg\, Greater Toronto Area\, National Capital Region (Ottawa-Gatineau)\, Montreal\, Quebec City or Halifax Regional Municipality can apply. SUMMARY:Cities for Everyone: The15-minute City\, with Professor Carlos Moreno
DESCRIPTION:As Smart City Special Envoy of Paris’ Mayor Anne Hidalgo\, Carlos Moreno led the new revolution for the 15-minute City. \nCarlos will present how the concept was developed and implemented and explain critical actions for other cities\, anywhere\, to move in that direction. Proximity. Flexibility. Equity. Sustainability.\nCarlos Moreno earned recognition as a scientist with an innovative mind\, pioneer works and his unique approach to urban issues.
