DESCRIPTION:Une séance d’inter-apprentissage sera organisée le 22 mars 2023. Elle vous permettra de partager vos expériences et d’échanger sur les défis rencontrés et les bons coups réalisés dans le cadre de vos projets visant l’amélioration de la mobilité. Cet espace participatif sera animé par Catherine Craig-St-Louis et Pierre-Yves de Vivre en Ville. \nCette séance donnera l’occasion aux responsables de projets de s’appuyer sur les expériences des autres et de se soutenir mutuellement. \nLes sujets de discussion seront définis en fonction des besoins spécifiques du groupe de participants concernés. Voici quelques-uns des sujets de réflexion potentiels en lien avec la sécurité et la convivialité des rues : \n\nplanifier et créer des rues conviviales et sécuritaire\névaluer les possibilités offertes et faire les choix appropriés \narticuler différentes mesures pour créer des rues partagées et des rues étroites  \naméliorer la sécurité routière à proximité des écoles\nconsolider et développer un réseau cyclable utilitaire\nrepenser l’aménagement des rues commerciales\narrimer planification et sécurité routière\, notamment dans un contexte de traversée de collectivité\n\nCette liste s’inspire entre autres du travail réalisé pour la rédaction des fiches sur la conception et la mise en oeuvre de rue apaisées  et des échanges tenus entre Vivre en Ville et ses partenaires dans le cadre de classes de maîtres réalisées ces derniers mois. \nSeules 8 places sont disponibles. DESCRIPTION:Cities for Everyone with Gil: The Webinar\, presents Arrested Mobility: Exploring the Impacts of Over-Policing BIPOC Mobility in the U.S. /w Guest\, Charles Brown \nThis presentation will examine how the collective racialized forces of over-policing (i.e.\, policy\, planning\, policing\, and polity). Black physical mobility in the US lead to adverse social\, political\, economic\, and health outcomes that are intergenerational and widespread. \nThis presentation will surgically examine the ways in which our approaches to research\, planning\, policy\, and design can and must be reimagined to achieve greater mobility\, health\, and safety for Black Americans. \n– \nBio: \nCharles T. Brown is the founder and principal of Equitable Cities\, a minority- and veteran-owned urban planning\, public policy and research firm focused at the intersection of transportation\, health and equity. He is also an adjunct professor at the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers University. Charles is an award-winning expert in planning and policy and has been interviewed by several notable outlets including the New York Times\, Washington Post\, Los Angeles Times\, the Guardian\, VICE and Bloomberg CityLab. DESCRIPTION:Climate Caucus’ 2023 Summit registration is officially open! You can REGISTER HERE to attend either in person or online. \nThis important annual event brings together local elected leaders from urban and rural communities across Canada to workshop practical local climate solutions. \nFollowing recent local elections in BC\, Manitoba\, Ontario\, PEI\, New Brunswick\, the Northwest Territories\, and the Yukon\, our summit will welcome climate leaders who are newly elected\, re-elected\, and those who have left public office\, but want to share their experience with us. Accordingly\, our keynote speakers\, former Vancouver Councillor\, Andrea Reimer and former Edmonton Mayor\, Don Iveson reflect the value of sharing ideas not only across the country\, but also from one council term to the next.\nOur agenda for this year will leave you feeling re-energized about taking action in your communities. Alongside our session partners\, Community Energy Association\, ICLEI\, and the Co-operators\, we will deliver keynotes\, workshops\, and networking to address emissions reductions\, energy transitions\, and resilience at the local level.
