        <h3>Canada Healthy Communities Initiative<\/h3>            <div class=\"contents\">\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n                <p>The<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/communityfoundations.ca\/initiatives\/canada-healthy-communities-initiative\/\"><strong>Healthy Communities Initiative <\/strong><\/a>was a $60-million investment from the Government of Canada supporting local efforts to transform public spaces in response to COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p>Via the Healthy Communities Initiative, the government of Canada funded over <a href=\"https:\/\/communityfoundations.ca\/chci-results\/\"><strong>1000 pandemic-responsive placemaking projects<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Canada\u2019s Placemaking Community builds on the creativity and inventiveness of the over 6000 local organizations that applied and an even bigger network of practitioners across the country in an effort to build a nation-wide placemaking community.<\/p>\n<p>The HCI funding program formally ended in September of 2024, but Canada&#8217;s Placemaking Community lives on!<\/p>\n\r\n\r\n\r\n      <\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n      <div
