Le 11 juin, l'Initiative des communautés en santé, en partenariat avec 8 80 Cities, a organisé un rassemblement social sur le toit du 401, rue Richmond , qui a réuni des chefs de projet de l'Initiative des communautés en santé, des bâtisseurs communautaires et d'autres praticiens de l'aménagement du territoire dans le magnifique centre-ville de Toronto. Au cours de la soirée, les 75 participants ont pu rire, manger et profiter du cadre magnifique tout en partageant leur travail avec des pairs partageant les mêmes idées. Malgré la pluie, les participants étaient déterminés à rester à l'extérieur, ce qui n'a fait que renforcer le sentiment de camaraderie, d'intimité et de communauté. Le temps a filé à toute allure grâce à une nourriture délicieuse et à des conversations animées !

Le jardin sur le toit du 401 Richmond était une toile de fond parfaite pour célébrer le travail extraordinaire des projets HCI et d'autres bâtisseurs de communautés qui cultivent des communautés saines et résilientes.

Nous avons eu l'honneur d'être rejoints par un large éventail de praticiens, y compris des membres de l'équipe de 8 80 Cities, Park People, Placemaking Canada, le Thorncliffe Park Women's Committee, et bien d'autres encore !

Les conversations ont été riches, de nouveaux liens ont été noués et les occasions d'apprendre et de rire les uns avec les autres ont été nombreuses ! La toile de fond n'était pas mal non plus...

Un grand merci à toutes les personnes impliquées - au personnel de soutien, ainsi qu'à nos partenaires de 8 80 Cities, de l'Association canadienne pour l'aménagement du territoire et de l'Association canadienne des municipalités. Placemaking Canada dont le rassemblement national nous a permis de nous réunir, ainsi qu'aux projets et aux organismes qui sont venus célébrer le travail extraordinaire accompli (et en cours) par des responsables de la mise en valeur des lieux comme vous, partout au Canada !
