Jeff Speck est sans doute l'auteur vivant le plus influent dans le domaine de l'urbanisme. Il est à l'origine de Suburban Nation, The Smart Growth Manual et Walkable City Rules, mais son livre le plus populaire reste Walkable City, qui a été publié en 2012 et est devenu un classique instantané. Le mois dernier, le livre a été réédité à l'occasion de son dixième anniversaire, avec une introduction vivante de Janette Sadik-Khan et 100 pages de nouveau texte qui le font entrer de plain-pied dans les années 2020.

Il propose toujours des invités fascinants qui font une présentation de 20 à 25 minutes, une histoire accompagnée de nombreuses images, puis il dialogue avec eux et répond aux questions des participants.
