What matters: How to build meaningful relationships with Indigenous organizations

hosted by Shady Hafez

The session, facilitated by Shady Hafez, from the National Association of Friendship Centres, provides an open space for attendees to ask questions and to learn the “why” and the “how” of meaningful engagement with First Nations, Inuit and Métis organizations. Learn more about the experiences of different Indigenous-led projects funded by the Healthy Communities Initiative and to hear their personal perspective on building relationships with non-Indigenous organizations. Sage Paul, artist and executive director of the Indigenous Fashion Week Toronto and Tuktoyaktuk Community Corporation will share their knowledge and experiences.

Canada’s Placemaking Community builds capacity for national placemakers by sharing impactful stories, convening in-person and virtual events, and commissioning research. By fostering collective action, we aim to drive better public outcomes and create vibrant, equitable public spaces for all.
